Re: World Trade Conference Center closure due to COVID-19

To our valued clients and customers,

As we enter the eighth month of the COVID-19 pandemic, the impact to our local economy – and specifically the hospitality and event industry – has reached a crisis level. With Multnomah County remaining at Phase 1 and in-person indoor gatherings limited to 10 people, we have made the tough decision to cease operations of the World Trade Conference Center.

Operating the Conference Center during a pandemic would not only pose a tremendous community health risk; it would violate guidance provided by Governor Kate Brown. As a result, like many event spaces throughout the state, the Conference Center will be closed well into next year.

We regret that we will need to cancel all client reservations. Our event team will be reaching out to all clients over the next few weeks as we transition to a closure.

Thank you for your business and support of the World Trade Conference Center over the past several decades. At this time, we are uncertain when, or if, the World Trade Conference Center will reopen. We wish you all the best for your continued success. We will be available in the next few weeks to help answer any questions you may have.
